The wedding day :)

Aloha everyone,
This is Kaleo's little sister, Kanoe.

In spite of everything (especially me) moving in "Hawaiian Time",
Michelle and Kaleo looked amazing
(Michelle's hair and make-up was done by our sister Keahi)
and the words said in the ceremony were filled with love.
However, the wind was blowing into the mic and there was no way of shielding it so the audio of the video sounded like I was sand blasting a building while I was holding the camera.  So the next best thing was to cut the video to special moments of the ceremony and put a romantic song in the background by Fiji titled Ku'ualoha (which means "my love" in Hawaiian).  Enjoy :o)

Those attending: Bishop James Nahinu and his wife, Terry (dear family friends)... Nora Thomas (another dear family friend)... Ron and Keahi Kirley (our bro-in-law and sister)... Andy Dean (Michelle's bro)... and my 5 keiki (Kanalu, Kolu, Keiko, Lynea, and Kawika) and husband Piko Kahalekomo.

I apologize that we didn't have everyone stand while the bride walked down the aisle (escorted by her bro. Andy).  The DJ (my husband) was very late and arrived well after the ceremony already started (there was a storm blowing in and we had to start without him) so we had no cue to stand for her... so sorry :(

That same wind that was preventing us to hear what was said on video blew the storm away from us so we could continue the festivities :)  If you look closely at the picture below you can see the tablecloth is tied down to the table in three places and the wind is blowing it up like a balloon.

All in all the food was good... the cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing...we had fun watching my eldest son dance (upon the groom's request)... and we enjoyed watching the bride and groom dance while we fed them dollar bills :)

We had a nice time together celebrating this blessed union... and I am so grateful that Michelle and Kaleo found each other... Michelle fits perfectly into our 'ohana.  I love you two and hope you are enjoying your first weekend together as Mr. and Mrs. Kaleo Fuchigami ;)

6 Days!!

We are six looong days from landing in Hawaii & beginning a trip we will remember for the rest of our lives. Our itinerary is written, everything is booked, & we are thinking about packing our bags (for this we will wait til the last minute!) There are 5 little kiddies there that we can't wait to spend time with. We just hope they remember who we are...lol. There are some of the most beatiful beaches in the world there and we plan on hitting all of them. I am wanting to see a mongoose running around, but I am not looking forward to seeing the lizards & big bugs that are there...ewwwwww  We are hoping to post some videos & photos along the way so you guys can kinda be there with us.
We want to send a Thank You out to all the wonderful people I work with. You guys touched our hearts & we are grateful to have people like you in our lives.
Aloha Everybody! We will see you from Hawaii!!

26 Days.....

We only have 26 days until we say "I do", but we will actually be in Hawaii in 21 days. We are both so very excited, even if Kaleo doesn't say he is :)  It's been so long since he's been there, I tell him he will be there as a tourist this time. We are looking forward to relaxing on the beach & watching beautiful sunsets. For me it will be the vacation I've always wanted to take. Since I was a kid I've wanted to travel there & for a minute I even fantasized about going to Univ. of Hawaii. But how blessed we are to be going there to get married. We are so in love & can't wait to begin the next chapter of our lives together!
